    Eddie Murphy Shut Up, Internet, Part I Warner studio boss Alan Horn sets the record straight by saying, more or less, “Calm down, geeks. None of the casting rumors floating around the Web are true.” Sometimes no news is good news, because nobody really wants to see Eddie Murphy as the Riddler and Shia LeBeouf as Robin, do they?

    Shut Up, Internet, Part II Tim Robbins might play Tony Stark’s dad in a flashback that sets up the Avengers and Captain America movies. OK, let’s all agree to stop with the casting rumors. Is it really necessary to get excited about the possibility of someone being in a flashback sequence that might be related to two other movies that are at least a couple years away?

    I Love You, Man

    Judd Apatow Man, This Sucks It looks like a Judd Apatow comedy. It’s got the cast of a Judd Apatow comedy. But watch the trailer and you’ll know: this ain’t a Judd Apatow comedy. The secret to Superbad, Knocked Up and Forgetting Sarah Marshall is that they’re all plausible scenarios that ordinary dudes can relate to. But man-dates? Uh, no. Nobody does that. I’m a reasonable approximation of a man, and I’ve never had to go on a damn man-date to find a best friend. And no, I’m not going to use the term “BFF.” Because I’m a man.

    Lincoln McMuseum? The teaser’s pretty great – who knew Abraham Lincoln was funny? – but the Happy Meal sponsorship is a sign of the Apocalypse. If I have to start going to fast food websites to watch movie trailers, I may go back to reading books.

    Sly Stallone Dreddful Just because someone screwed the pooch on the first adaptation, doesn’t mean a remake is a horrible idea. OK, it certainly sounds horrible. But this time the company that made 28 Days Later is doing it, and I’m pretty sure they’re not speed-dialing Sly Stallone and Rob Schneider.
