Synopsis
This Swedish-Mozambican-Portuguese co-production is based on a novel by popular Swedish author Henning Mankell, a resident of Mozambique. Jose (Joao Manja) is a baker in Maputo, the capital of Mozambique. After Jose finds 10-year-old street-kid Nelio (Sergio Titos) bleeding from a gunshot wound, Nelio's account leads into a flashback: With a civil war in his village, he was taken to a training camp, but during a shooting lesson, he used the rifle against his captor and ran away.
