Capt. Kirk Ryan, and a Death in the Transformers Family?

  • Chris Pine Pine-ing Away Star Trek’s talented breakout star Chris Pine will soon be busy filling more big shoes, this time taking over the role made famous by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford and, well, Ben Affleck not so much—Jack Ryan. He’s in talks to take over as the CIA analyst in the reboot of the Tom Clancy novel series--but don't fret, he'll be back as Capt. Kirk in the next Trek installment.
  • Megan Fox Some People Get What They Deserve In what looks like a move to get back at flap-jawed Megan Fox, Michael Bay is considering killing her off in a gory opening scene of Transformers 3. Someone should have kept their lips pouting instead of using them to call people “Hitler.”
  • Payback Time The trailer is out for Mel Gibson’s new cop thriller Edge of Darkness, about the conspiracy he discovers behind his daughter’s murder. It’s directed by the same guy behind Casino Royale and looks pretty good, so I’m in.
  • Anna Paquin Bloody Good "True Blood" star couple and real life neck-nuzzlers Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are teaming up for a thriller directed by Paquin’s brother called Open House, about a couple selling their home who find one potential buyer hasn’t left. Here’s hoping he's tall, blond and has fangs.
  • Barney Where the Wild Things Really Shouldn’t Be The company that owns Thomas the Tank, Bob the Builder and Barney are planning to roll out movies with all three next year. Because we can’t get enough of giant Furries and bratty kids on the big screen.
