Beyond the Law Details

FULL SYNOPSIS

During the 1933-34 season, Columbia Pictures attempted to place its resident western star [[Performer~P47131~Tim McCoy~timmccoy]] in contemporary roles. [[Feature~V154201~Beyond the Law~beyondthelaw]] finds [[Performer~P47131~McCoy~timmccoy]] cast as a modern-day railroad detective. When ex-convict [[Performer~P59999~Addison Richards~addisonrichards]] is framed for a train robbery, [[Performer~P59999~Richards~addisonrichards]]' daughter [[Performer~P28740~Shirley Grey~shirleygrey]] plays up to [[Performer~P47131~McCoy~timmccoy]], hoping to throw him off the track (so to speak). [[Performer~P47131~McCoy~timmccoy]] falls in love with [[Performer~P28740~Grey~shirleygrey]], and sets about to prove her dad's innocence. [[Feature~V154201~Beyond the Law~beyondthelaw]] is essentially a western in mufti, so who better to direct than action maven [[Performer~P99111~D. Ross Lederman~davidrosslederman]]? ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
