The Answer Details

FULL SYNOPSIS

Newman Flower's controversial novel Is God Dead? came to the screen in 1916 with the less controversial title [[Feature~V83801~The Answer~theanswer]]. [[Performer~P90069~George Foley~georgefoley]] stars as a man who has lost faith in himself, in the world, and in God. Through what appears to be Divine Intervention, [[Performer~P90069~Foley~georgefoley]] is shown three examples of how faith can turn one's life around.. In true Passion Play fashion, the subordinate characters bear such names as "The Lonely Woman" and "The Lost Magdalene." [[Feature~V83801~The Answer~theanswer]] was made and released in Great Britain, where to make a film with even a scintilla of religiosity required producers to walk on eggshells when the censors showed up. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
