A veteran publicist (Billy Crystal) tries desperately to push along a troubled film starring an A-list couple, Eddie and Gwen (John Cusack, Catherine Zeta-Jones), who have just suffered a messy and very public split. Julia Roberts plays their personal assistant, who finds that her relationship with Eddie could be more than just professional.
