Paul Morrissey began making underground short films in the early 1960s, and soon became a production assistant for Andy Warhol. He was the cameraman on several Warhol films, including Lonesome Cowboys; the two co-directed the transvestite comedy [[Feature~V134513~Women in Revolt~womeninrevolt]] and L'Amour (1973). With Warhol as producer, Morrissey made several outstanding films starring [[Performer~P16668~Joe Dallesandro~joedallesandro]], most notably his early comedies [[Feature~V17767~Flesh~flesh]] (1968), [[Feature~V50822~Trash~trash]] (1970), and [[Feature~V21935~Heat~heat]] (1972), and the stylish horror films [[Feature~V2341~Andy Warhol's Frankenstein~fleshforfrankenstein]] (aka [[Feature~V2341~Flesh For Frankenstein~fleshforfrankenstein]] [1974]) and [[Feature~V2340~Andy Warhol's Dracula~bloodfordracula]] (aka [[Feature~V2340~Blood For Dracula~bloodfordracula]] [1974]).
