Joel David Moore Biography

  • Profession: Actor, Executive Producer, Screenwriter, Director, Producer
  • Born: Jan 1, 0001
  • Died: Jan 1, 0001

The lanky and slightly gaunt character actor Joel David Moore (occasionally also credited as [[Performer~P359209~Joel Moore~joelmoore]]) specialized in portrayals of slightly goofy eccentrics when he debuted onscreen in the late 2000s, but also demonstrated the ability to play it straight when necessary, per his lead in the slasher outing [[Feature~V348199~Hatchet~hatchet]] (2006). Moore specialized in comedies, with a particularly off-the-wall performance as team player Owen in the [[Performer~P112816~Ben Stiller~benstiller]]/[[Performer~P225542~Vince Vaughn~vincevaughn]] comedy [[Feature~V290345~Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story~dodgeball:atrueunderdogstory]] (2004). He was equally memorable in the frat-boy laughers [[Feature~V333773~Grandma's Boy~grandmasboy]] (2006) and the 2007 [[Feature~V384496~Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning~thedukesofhazzard:thebeginning]] (as backwoodsman Cooter). In 2007, Moore joined the cast of [[Performer~P10397~James Cameron~jamescameron]]'s massively budgeted, elephantine sci-fi opus [[Feature~V352199~Avatar~avatar]] (2009). ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi
