Joe Lo Truglio Biography

  • Profession: Actor
  • Born: Jan 1, 0001
  • Died: Jan 1, 0001

As a fresh-faced college kid, Joe Lo Truglio probably never guessed that joining the sketch comedy troupe [[Feature~V410583~The State~thestate[tvseries]]] would eventually lead to a successful career in TV and movies. But when the New York-based group got its own show on MTV in 1993, Lo Truglio and the group's 10 other members gained a foothold in the media that they would all build on for years to come. Drawing on influences like [[Feature~V224273~Monty Python~montypythonsflyingcircus[tvseries]]] and [[Feature~V175123~Kids in the Hall~thekidsinthehall[tvseries]]], [[Feature~V410583~The State~thestate[tvseries]]]'s bizarre brand of comedy struck a chord with audiences, and even after the show ended its run in 1995, many members of the group would find new projects together and with up-and-coming names in comedy. Lo Truglio went on to appear in a wide variety of projects, like [[Feature~V278973~The Station Agent~thestationagent]], [[Feature~V299914~Hitch~hitch]], [[Feature~V385401~The Sarah Silverman Program~thesarahsilvermanprogram[tvseries]]], [[Feature~V381510~Pineapple Express~pineappleexpress]], and [[Feature~V355330~Superbad~superbad]]. He also collaborated with his castmates from [[Feature~V410583~The State~thestate[tvseries]]] for a number of comedic projects, like 2001's summer camp satire [[Feature~V237172~Wet Hot American Summer~wethotamericansummer]] and for the popular [[Feature~V174908~Cops~cops[tvseries]]] spoof [[Feature~V290799~Reno 911!~reno911[tvseries]]] ~ Cammila Collar, Rovi
