Harry Treadaway Biography

  • Profession: Actor
  • Born: Jan 1, 0001
  • Died: Jan 1, 0001

English actor Harry Treadaway entered film on one of the most eccentric notes imaginable. As identical (though not attached) twins, he and his brother [[Performer~P458541~Luke~luketreadaway]] debuted with a role as conjoined twins playing in a punk rock band in co-directors [[Performer~P214063~Louis Pepe~louispepe]] and [[Performer~P213073~Keith Fulton~keithfulton]]'s seriocomic period mockumentary [[Feature~V341500~Brothers of the Head~brothersofthehead]] (2006). The film drew substantial critical acclaim, with many reviewers singling out the boys' portrayals; Salon's Andrew O'Hehir, in particular, referred to them as amazing. Harry extended the themes explored by this film (and essayed a similar role), but did so á tout seul, as post-punk rocker and [[Performer~P36399~Joy Division~joydivision]] member [[Performer~P312968~Steve Morris~stevemorris]], in [[Performer~P85881~Anton Corbijn~antoncorbijn]]'s critically lauded [[Performer~P337228~Ian Curtis~iancurtis]] biopic [[Feature~V354855~Control~control]] (2007). In 2008, Treadaway turned up in two major A-list roles: a supporting turn in [[Performer~P424621~Gil Kenan~gilkenan]]'s children's fantasy [[Feature~V399607~City of Ember~cityofember]], and a lead as a troubled teenager searching for his missing brother in the gothic supernatural thriller [[Feature~V455004~The Disappeared~thedisappeared]]. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi
