Born in a Chicago suburb on July 9th, 1976 , Fred Savage began appearing in local TV commercials from the time he could read. In 1986, Fred made his big-screen debut in Disney's [[Feature~V6862~The Boy Who Could Fly.~theboywhocouldfly]] Savage's subsequent film roles of note included the inquisitive grandson of yarn-spinning [[Performer~P22575~Peter Falk~peterfalk]] in [[Feature~V39218~The Princess Bride~theprincessbride]] (1987) and the junior edition of [[Performer~P107897~Judge Reinhold~judgereinhold]] in [[Feature~V52364~Vice Versa~viceversa]] (1988). After essaying a supporting part in the 1986 TV series Morningstar/Eveningstar, Savage was elevated to top billing in the role of Kevin Arnold on the nostalgic seriocomedy [[Feature~V147437~The Wonder Years~wunderjahre]] (1988-93).
