Edouard Trebaol Biography

  • Profession: Actor
  • Born: May 20, 1905
  • Died: Dec 2, 1944

A stocky and rather tough-looking silent film child actor, dark-haired Edouard Trebaol played the country cousin in the popular Booth Tarkington series The Adventures and Emotions of Edgar Pomeroy ([1920-1921] Johnny Jones aka Edward Peil Jr. starred) and was the Artful Dodger to Jackie Coogan's Oliver Twist (1922). Hailing from France, the Trebaol family included 15 children, all of whom appeared in silent films, a record worthy of Guiness! The family star, Edouard was joined by brothers Yves (1906-1974) and Francois (1910-1996) in Honest Hutch (1920). Despite their numbers, none of the Trebaol kids seems to have appeared in films later than the mid-'20s. ~ Hans J. Wollstein, Rovi
