Italian author Curzio Malaparte (born Kurt Eric Suckert in Prato, Italy) is best known for writing such novels as Kaputt. He wrote, directed, and scored one film, [[Feature~V111922~Il Cristo Proibito~ilcristoproibito]], in 1950. In 1953, it was released in the U.S. as Strange Deception.
