British composer/playwright Clifford Grey was especially active in Hollywood in the years just prior to and following the talkie revolution. Grey's stage play Sunny Days was transformed into the 1927 silent [[Feature~V97858~A Kiss in a Taxi~kissinataxi]]. When the movies learned to talk, he provided music and/or lyrics for Lubitsch's [[Feature~V100446~Love Parade~theloveparade]] (1929) and [[Feature~V110694~Smiling Lieutenant~thesmilinglieutenant]] (1931) and DeMille's [[Feature~V30670~Madam Satan~madamesatan]] (1931).
