Stocky American character actor Bert Moorhouse made his first film appearance in 1928. Moorhouse spent most of his 25-year movie career essaying bit roles as lawyers, congressmen, detectives, and clerks. One of his best-known appearances was as Paramount Pictures executive Gordon Cole, the man who wants to rent out [[Performer~P69293~Gloria Swanson~gloriaswanson]]'s custom-built automobile for "that [[Performer~P207783~Crosby~crosby]] picture," in [[Performer~P116768~Billy Wilder~billywilder]]'s [[Feature~V47703~Sunset Boulevard~sunsetboulevard]].
