A screen and television actress-turned-resolutely accomplished art photographer, Alexandra Hedison grew up in Los Angeles as the daughter of soap opera star [[Performer~P31488~David Hedison~davidhedison]] ([[Feature~V310806~The Young and the Restless~theyoungandtherestless[tvseries]]], [[Feature~V313968~Another World~anotherworld[tvseries]]]). Alexandra received her dramatic training in Manhattan, then began appearing in productions from the early '90s, initially with films such as the big-screen outings [[Feature~V134128~The Hard Truth~thehardtruth]] (1994), [[Feature~V132314~Sleep with Me~sleepwithme]] (1994), and [[Feature~V154501~The Rich Man's Wife~therichmanswife]] (1996) and the telemovie [[Feature~V163215~Max Is Missing~maxismissing]] (1995). Hedison later achieved fame and recognition via her enlistment as Dylan Moreland on the lesbian-themed Showtime drama [[Feature~V301901~The L Word~thelword[tvseries]]].
