On the second anniversary of the infamous terrorist attacks on New York City's World Trade Center, John Sexton, the president of New York University, hosted a dinner in which a group of businessmen, politician, authors, media figures, and dignitaries assembled to talk about the long-term impact of the attacks on the city. The participants included Assistant Secretary of Defense Paul McHale, New York City Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly, novelist Salman Rushdie, Def Jam Records founder Russell Simmons, and Rossana Rosado, publisher of the Spanish-language journal El Diario. Their comments provide the framework for the documentary 9/11/03: A Day in The Life of New York City, which also follows a number of other New Yorkers as they go through their daily routines two years after the fall of the Twin Towers, ranging from New York Yankees manager Joe Torre and preacher and activist Rev. Al Sharpton to police officers, undertakers, and restaurant employees. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi
